The first time I got stitches was when I was 9. My brother Blake and I were running around the house. Thats when he let go of my hand and I slipped. My head hit the edge of our coffee table and it started bleeding. I ran up stairs and told my parents and then they put me in my carseat and drove me to the Emergency Room.
When we made it to the hospital the lady told us to sit in the waiting room. We sat there for abut 30 minutes until the doctor came. When my doctor saw me she quickly said she is going to need stitches. While I was in the room I saw the doctor come in with a needle and thread. I knew then that it was gonna hurt bad.
When the doctors started it it did not hurt at all. It went by super fast to me. When we got in the car on our way back home my parents were kinda upset with me. My mom was talking to me the whole way home to make sure i didn't fall asleep, the doctor said that since i hit my head its best if i stay up for awhile. When we made it home i had to sit down and couldn't do much, but all in all it wasn't the best experience of getting stitches.
