Storyboard Text

  • Gravitational Potential Energy
  • Once I raise the ball above my head to serve it, it now has GPE! The GPE becomes greater due to gravity pulled on it.
  • Kinetic Energy
  • After I serve the ball to the opponent the ball is in the air encountering the force of kinetic engery.
  • Air Resistance
  • As I serve the ball over the net to the opponent it doesn't come fast as fast as I served it to him because the force of air resistance slows the ball down.
  • GPE, also know as energy started about ground, is found when the ball is served..
  • Similie
  • Kinetic Energy, the energy of motion, can be found just when the ball is served with full speed.
  • Appeal to numbers
  • Air Resistance- a force exerted by air molecules- slows the tennis ball down.
  • Hyperbole
  • Her serve is so swift it's like Serena Williams is serving it to you!
  • 12/16 of her serves have been good which means only 4 of her serves have been bad.
  • She's quicker than a bunny. No shots can get passed her.
