  • French and Indian War
  • The French and Indian War happened in 1763.
  • The French and Indian War, as it was referred to in the colonies, was the beginning of open hostilities between the colonies and Great Britain. England and France had been building toward a conflict.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • The Boston Tea Party happened in 1773.
  • The people from Boston disguised themselves as Indians and dumped all of their tea into the harbor because they felt there was too much tax on tea.
  • The Quartering Act
  • The Quartering Act happened in 1774.
  • Soldiers were running out of supplies and things so they went into civilians houses for things and they weren't so happy about that.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill happened in 1775
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill happened because American troops were going to bombard Bunker Hill. They ended up threatening them and ships started opening fire on the Americans.
  • The Townshend Act
  • The Townshend Act happened in 1767
  • The Townshend Act was when certain duties were granted in the British colonies and plantations in America.
  • Lexington and Concord
  • Lexington and Concord happened in 1775
  • British soldiers were going to capture Sam Adams and John Hancock in Lexington and then they were going to Concord to seize gunpowder.
