This storyboard does not have a description.
Nya and her little sister, Akeer, ended up in a refugee camp with many people in the dreaded heat.
"There was only heat, the sun already baking the air, even though it was long before noon" (Park, pg. 1).
Nya and Akeer are eventually adopted by an American family, and come to live in their house near the oil polluted Yellowstone River.
"The oil spill 'threatens downstream water users, including drinking water supplies'"(Wendy Koch, National Geographic)
Against her foster parents' wishes, Nya and Akeer walk to the polluted river every day to get drinking water and to keep their original culture in their life.
Nya and Akeer are always upset and surprised about the growing amount of oil in the water.
