Storyboard Text

  • Alright I'll tell about PID paragaurds which are Intraunterine devices also known as coils
  • I want a medical opinion on what birth control to use
  • What's a paragaurd
  • It is a copper T shaped device that is surgically put in the uterus it releases copper causing a inflammitory reaction killing sperm and preventing the egg from inplanting in the uterus.
  • Okay but does it even work?
  • Facts
  • 99% Succes Rate
  • Really?
  • Random fact
  • Last 5-12 years
  • Yes studies show out of a hundred only 1 got pregnate so it has a 99% sucess rate
  • Could affect period
  • Wow Almost sounds to good to be true
  • Yeah really. It also can easily be reversed without any harm done. You won't have to worry about it and won't feel it during use
  • Still everything has a down side it might make your first few periods hevier longer and more painful and if not put in right could cause vaginal bleeding. It also doesn't defend against STDs most side effects clear in the first 5 months alsobe aware it could be knocked out of place.
  • I knew it had to come with some type of downside
  • Either way it is still an option and it can cost anywhere between being free to $1000 it depends on your health care provider who surgically puts it in but it can last for 5 to 12 years 10 on average
  • Thanks I'll consider it as a option for my birth control
