  • This is John Calvin, who was part of the Protestant Reformation.
  • John Calvin was Martin Luther's successor and preeminent Protestant Theologian.
  • In 1536, he published Institutes of the Christian Religion. It was an early attempt to standardize the theories of Protestantism.
