Storyboard Text

  • Rowan's friends jokingly insult her
  • Your boyfriend who has pox!
  • Your boyfriend who's a second child!
  • "It's a bad insult. It means someone who is an outcast, unloved. Someone who shouldn't exist."
  • Rowan shows a sign of memory
  • Rowan disregards the memory
  • But it's just one of those words we four toss around, like "tramp." It doesn't mean anything. really.
  • Lynx, Copper, and Pearl are insulting Rowan as a joke. Rowan does not have a boyfriend but as an insult they are implying she could only get a boyfriend with not alluring qualities.
  •
  • To this point, Rowan has had no recollection of her past, but when she takes the second-child joke seriously it shows she might remember part of her past.
  • I chose this scene as significant, because it is the first time in the book that Rowan might get her memories after having them brainwashed out of her at the end of the first book, "Children of Eden."
