Week 1- pages 1- 57 of The Dog Who Thought He Was Santa by Bill Wallace
This storyboard does not have a description.
"Did Amy call you a bad name or something?
"She's a big, fat liar. I'm gonna tell mom on her."
"Mama, Amy's mean. She's mean, fat liar. I hate her!"
"She lied to me. She's saying bad things to all the kids at school. She's just trying to hurt people. She makes everybody feel bad. Why does she do that, Mama?"
"What did she do, dear?"
"Amy says there ain't no Santa Clause."
"I don't care what Amy says. I believe he's real."
"I've never seen the ocean, Susan, but I know it's there. Your dad told me all about it when he came back from the war. I've never seen the wind, but i can see what it does. And I've never seen Santa Clause."
Don asks Susan why she is crying. Susan is crying because Amy Covington said something or did something mean to Susan. Once Susan and Don get home, Susan is going to tell her mom.
Susan rushes into the kitchen and told her mom that she is very mad at Amy because she is mean. Momma is very understanding and tries help Susan not cry.
I chose this scene because Susan now knows that she shouldn't believe everything she hears. Susan gave mom a big hug and kiss and she is glad that Santa is real.
