Walking to the shed to feed Jazzle
It was an explosion of sunshine throughout the sky. Palm trees swayed back and forth carrying a cool breeze that climbed up Lyndsey's spine as it made her shiver. But at the same time the humidity was killing her as she starting getting sweaty and warm. She ran to give Jazzle her kitty a can of cat food. When she walked in Jazzles cat house Jazzle could already smell it as she jumped on her two back paws and cried a loud meow, begging her for it. Lyndsey plopped it in her shiny pink and black bowl and ran up to her house.
As she walked in the house she went in the kitchen and peeked out the glass window and saw geese in her front yard. She went to a wooden dark brown cupboard and grabbed a big glass cup from the shelf and went to the sink to fill the cup up with clear cold water. Lyndsey walked towards the planted pot that was hanging from the ceiling and dumped the water into the plants pot and it dissolved so fast it was like the plant was very thirsty. After that she ran to the refrigerator and grabbed a cold cool blue gatorade and ran upstairs.
She opened the door and saw her room was very bright from the curtains being opened all day. She turned the air conditioning on because of her very hot room and also turned on the ceiling fan with a remote she had. She grabbed her Iphone that was sitting on her desk and Facetimed her friend. Right as her friend answered the phone she heard the door slam downstairs and her dad called her name and she told her friend she would call her back later. Something didn't feel right. “Lyndsey?” her dad screamed. “Yes dad, i'm upstairs!” Lyndsey replied. “I need to tell you something important,” her dad said. “What?!” she wondered. “Come downstairs please.” he said in a shaky voice. Oh no she thought. “I'm coming!” She cried.
When Lyndsey walked downstairs she saw a tear form in her dad's eye, all of a sudden she felt everything stop and her stomach drop as if she was on a roller coaster. She sat there waiting for something to come out of his mouth. Every time he tried to say something it was like he struggled to let the words come out of his mouth. “Lexi, Lexi, is” he would keep saying over and over. Until one moment when Lyndsey said,” I don't understand what you mean dad.” “Lyndsey, Lexi is getting very old and I'm putting her down.” “is this a joke!” Lyndsey screamed. And started crying as she ran towards Lexi who was standing there staring at her cry innocently. She hugged her very tight and said “I love you!” As she gave her a huge kiss on her head. Her dad pulled up the driveway with his black Land Rover. “Black” she cried, it was the color of death and death was actually happening. When her dad started driving away Lexi had her head out of the window as if she was going for a ride but actually she was going to the vet to be put down.
As her dad walked in the house without Lexi by his side, Lyndsey was sitting on the couch holding a baby picture of them together balling her eyes out. “Lyndsey you know” he never finished as Lyndsey screamed “nothing will replace Lexi” as she grabbed the picture and ran upstairs to her room. An hour later her dad went to her room to see her laying in her bed and quietly knocked on the door to tell her she could pick out their next puppy and she was very happy inside but acted still very sad on the outside. “Okay” she replied. Right as he left her room she hopped on her Macbook and tried to find a puppy she liked.
