I hope my friends like my party!
Problem Jack has a problem. His birthday party is on Saturday, and he wants it to be great, but he doesn't know what activities to have!
What games do you guys like to play?
Research Jack goes online and looks up fun party ideas. He also thinks about what he likes. He now has some ideas for what to do, but he will still ask his friends what they like.
Hypothesis After looking up good ideas, he comes up with a hypothesis. He predicts that the main game at his party will be football.
Experiment The next day at school, he asks his friends what they like to do. A lot of his friends like football and other sports.
Data At home, Jack analyzes his data. He asked his friends what they wanted to do, and the top three answers were football, basketball, and baseball.
Conclusion Jack's hypothesis was correct. His friends love the activities he chose, and Jack is so glad he used the scientific method to find out what activities to have at his party!
