These are myths.
Orpheus was about to get married to his true love, the nymph Eurydice, but on their wedding day she got bitten by a snake and died. Orpheus was overwhelmed by grief and sorrow.
Since he was so overwhelmed with sorrow because of the death of Eurydice, he decide to go visit Hades in the Underworld to see if Eurydice can spend a few more years with him. When he goes there, everything is moved by his sad music, even Hades. Hades said that Eurydice could go back with him if he never looked back to see if she was following him.
Right when he approaches daylight he gives in and turns around. He sees Eurydice, but she disappears back to the Underworld. Orpheus is now sadder that he was.
King Minos trapped Daedalus and his son Icarus on his island. Daedalus has tried almost everything to escape. He realized that the only way to escape is to escape by air, so he makes his so gather feathers to make the wings.
Daedalus makes that wings and now he and his son can fly off the island. He tells his son not to fly to low or the moisture from the water will ruin his wings. and not to go to high or the sun will melt the wax on the wings and with wings will break. They fly and Icarus is having so much fun. He flies higher and higher.
Icarus did what his father told him not to do, which was to not fly to close to the sun. When he flew to close the sun the wax on his wings melted and the wings fell apart making him plummet do through the sky into the ocean.
