Storyboard Text

  • Radiation is The direct transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves.
  •
  • That is pretty cool
  • lets make some popcorn for a movie1The microwave uses something called radiation to cook or heat up food
  •
  •
  • Electromagnetic Waves are waves that transfer electric and magnetic energy through the vacuum of space and that include radio waves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays.
  • What about radio waves? do tv's us radio waves?
  •
  •
  • Tv's waves have to be a higher frequency due to the large files that are being sent through but a radio wave has a low frequency and can travel further in that manner because of its longer wavelength
  • Frequency is the number of waves passing a point in a certain time. Usually measured in a wave per second and in the unit of hertz (Hz).
  • What is frequency?
  •
  •
  • Frequency also corresponds to the pitch of a sound or sounds. Pitch is the quality of a sound governed by the rate of vibrations producing it; the degree of highness or lowness of a tone
  • The higher the frequency of a wave, the higher the pitch will be
  •
  •
  •  Yeah, that is actually called the greenhouse effect which is the process in which heat is trapped and cannot escape its "Container" or area.
  • Don't you think it is weird but cool how after a while heat just builds up in your sleeping bag?
  •
  •
  • Your body is also giving heat to the bag which cant escape and when one object gives heat to another to balance temperatures it is called Conduction.
  • Conduction is the direct transfer of thermal energy from one substance to another that it is touching.
