  • Can I please let my people free from slavery?!
  • NEVER!!!!!!! YOUR PEOPLE SHALL ALL BE PEASANTS FOREVER!!!!
  • Jacob and his family moved from Canaan to Egypt because there was a famine and Egypt had a lot of grain, etc. Also, as the Hebrew population grew, the pharaoh grew mistrustful because the Hebrews practiced MONOTHEISM, which was different from Egyptian beliefs. Then, the pharaoh enslaved them.

  • How did I ever manage to pull that off?!
  • Moses was an Israelite who grew up in the Pharaoh's palace and was raised as the prince of Egypt. God instructed Moses to free the Israelites from slavery, so he asked the pharaoh for permission to fulfill this COVENANT. Moses is believed to say, "Let my people go."

  • Moses and the pharaoh of all of his slaves/parents could be free. Pharaoh said no and then them were many hardships, such as, illness, swarms of insects, and the last, worst hardship, the death of every first born son in Egypt. That was when all of the Israelites in Egypt sacrificed al lamb, and then put its blood over their doors. The pharaoh's son died, which made a COMMANDMENT for the Israelites to leave Egypt.
  • The Conquest of Canaan.
  • I'm so proud of our army for winning!!! Congratulations everyone!!!!
  • Now that all of the slaves and Israelites have left, Moses led them to the Sinai Peninsula where the pharaoh couldn't get/reach them. Now, in present days, the event is celebrated during the week of the passover.
  • The Israelites were led to Mount. Sinai, where Moses received the 10 commandments from God. The Israelites stopped at the bottom of Mount. Sinai while Moses received the 10 commandments and many other laws. The commandments and laws tell the Israelites how to behave towards one another, and towards God. This is also known as being ETHICAL.
  • After being in the desert and the wilderness for around 40 years, and with Moses passing away in the desert, Joshua, his assistant, took over and led the Israelites the rest of the way to Israel. In the conquest of Canaan, the Israelites won the battle and took the land now known as, Israel.
