  • The Tea Act was a law passed by Parliament in the early 1770 stating that the East India Company (a British business) would be the only company allowed to sell tea to the 13 Colonies.
  • The Boston Tea Party was a protest against British taxes in which the Sons of Liberty boarded the British ships and dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts were laws passed by British Parliament punishing  the people of Boston following the Boston Tea Party.
