Welcome to the beach! Where land and sea meet. This biome covers over 75% of the Earth's surface which gives many aquatic animals a home to live in. It's the saltwater/marine biome.
The marine biome can vary from -40 degrees to over 100 degrees but the average temperature is 39 degrees Fahrenheit.
The marine biome has some of the richest soils with many great nutrients for lots of plants to grow.
The marine biome can get from 60 to 250 inches of rain per year.
The elevation for the marine biome is at sea level or 0 kilometers.
This is the Marine Biome. It provides a home to thousands of aquatic creatures and it takes in the most carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
