Physical Change By:John Sapp
Physical Change: changes involving the physical properties of a substance.
Physical change takes place when the physical appearance of an object changes. For example, if you run over a mailbox it doesn't make it a different object, it just changes the physical appearance of it.
If you die a shirt a different color, it does not turn it into pants, it is still a shirt. The color has just been changed, which is also another example of a physical change.
Change in size is also a physical change. If the door on the left is before it was remodeled, and it is larger after (right doors), it doesn't change the fact it is still a door. It just changed the appearance and the size of the door frame.
Color, size, shape, and physical state are all examples of factors that can be physically changed.
