Jasmine unsealed her eyes and looked across the alluring morning sky infused with a gloomy fog. She slipped on her raggedy clothes, pushed back her messy hair, and headed downstairs.
Jasmine trudged into the kitchen with her fatigue following right alongside her. When she got to the table, she sat down to feed her brother, John. She has to help him eat because of his down syndrome that he has had since he was just a baby.
"Ew, gross! Where'd you get your outfit today? The dumpster?!"
As Jasmine left for the bus, she said her goodbyes to John and her Mom. She would say goodbye to her dad like any other day, but he passed away recently. Ever since that day, Jasmine would lay in a bed of depression, sulking for her Dad, for each of the days that passed.
"Yuck, your presentation sucks! Maybe you should go back to preschool, dumbie!"
On her way to school, Jasmine was petrified of getting bullied once again. She sat by herself, lonely and anxious.
Instantly, as Jasmine walked right up to the school, she came across Savvy. The most self-centered gossip girl in the whole school.
Jasmine's eyes watered and began to sob.
During first period, as Jasmine began sharing her project for health, she was promptly interrupted by the same bully that crushed her feelings earlier that morning. Savvy.
