THEY BOMBED PEARL HARBOR!!!
They rode a bus to terminal island then to Boyle heights in Los Angeles. However, a month later they were ordered to move to manzanar by the government.
The camp they were living in was very rough. Many people living there were suffering from illnesses.

People in the camp were starting an event called the December Riot, it breaks out when three men arrested for beating a man suspected of helping the U.S Government.
The Watsusakis moved again, and this time to a housing project in Long Beach called Cabrillo Homes. Jeanne meets new people and becomes close with a girl named Radine.
In April 1972, Jeanne visits the Manzanar camp with a family of her own. She got to see her daughter that her life began at the camp that her fathers ended.This trip helped her understand her life better.
