Simons' parents never treated him like a normal child. They never loved him because he was different and thought that he was kind of useless. The parents are careless, selfish, and not at all loving in Simon's life.
On parenting "The Scarlet Ibis"
Joe stuck with Simon through everything and was always there for him. Even it in a situation when Simon pretty much killed Joe's mom. They have always had forgiveness and care for each other.
On friendship "The Scarlet Ibis"
Joe and Simon had their favorite spot in the woods. They had a tradition when they would run by the bridge and say " One year good luck". The dynamic duo were always swimming living their lives out in the nature.
On nature "The Scarlet Ibis"
On The Scarlet Ibis Doodle's parents thought he was going to die. They built him a casket because they were thinking that he wasn't going to make it. They obviously didn't care about him because he was different.
Doodle and his brother's relationship was unique because Doodle did not understand what his brother was actually trying to do. His brother was still there for doodle though because he did actually love him even though he was different. The narrator did still love and care about him even with the circumstances.
Doodle and The narrator were in nature a lot and spent most of their time outdoors. They were always at Old Womens swamp even though they weren't suppose to be there. Doodle and His brother accomplihshed alot in the woutdoors to.
