Hi! My name is Leonardo Da Vinci. I was born on April 15, 1452 in Anchiano, Italy.
I never attended public school. I was raised by my single father. When I was fifteen he joined the studio of Andrea Del Verrocchio in Florence. I spent most of my time painting.
I invented quite a bit of things but the scissors and parachute had to be the best ones. One of the struggles I had to face was I had dyslexic.
My research into the brain led me to discoveries in neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. My injection of hot wax into the brain of an ox provided a cast of the ventricles, and represents the first known use of a solidifying medium to define the shape and size of an internal body structure.
My natural genius crossed so many disciplines that I epitomized the term “Renaissance man.” Today I remain best known for my art, including two paintings that remain among the world's most famous and admired, Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Many of his my work was unfinished because I was a slow painter. It took me 1 year to finish the mouth on the painting Mona Lisa. When I was 24 years old he was arrested.
