Hello! Today we are going to talk about the Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr duel that happened on New Jersey on July 11, 1804. The duel was fought between American politicians Aaron Burr, the sitting Vice President of the United States, and Alexander Hamilton, the former Secretary of the Treasury.
The people who where involved in the duel was, of course, Alexnader Hamiltion and Aaron Burr. What happened was the duel was after a tie after the votes where counted. They agreed on duing a duel in Weehawken, New Jersey on July 11, 1804. Why did they did this, they did these because they were rivals and wanted to settler this by a death match The Burr–Hamilton duel is one of the most famous personal conflicts in American history.
The aftermath of the duel was that When the duel was over, Hamilton would be mortally wounded, and Burr would be wanted for murder. Of course this was really sad for the family of Hamilton. Hamilton died on July 12, 1804, Greenwich Village, New York City, NY
Burr was charged with murder in New York and New Jersey, but neither charge reached trial. In Bergen County, New Jersey, a grand jury indicted Burr for murder in November 1804,
