The first cause was that Shmuel was brought along into bruno's house so that he can do the job that the seargants assigned to him. The first effect was that when bruno walked into his house he shouted his name so that meant he knew him and met him before

The second cause was that brun says to shmuel if he did not have to polish glasses then he would show him his room as he says this he is eating food. The second effect was that as he was eating the food shmuel was staring at it so of course he wanted some too but bruno realized that till the end.

The third cause was that bruno and shmuel compared there hands together and realized they were very diffrent. The third effect was that as they compared there hands they found out why the looked very diffrent instead of the same.

The fourth cause was that when bruno gave shmuel food the Lietenant showed up and asked many questions. The fourth effect was that Bruno and smhuel got ontrouble because the lietenant knew that shmuel had been eating.
