  • They're dead!
  • Creon shares his edict with the people.
  • I declare that Eteocles will have an honorable death for the life of a true hero. Polynieces on the other hand is to not be buried, he is a traitor to Thebes. "As long as I am king, no traitor is going to be honored with the loyal man" (Sophocles i.63-65).
  • Creon discovers Antigone has tried to bury Polynieces.
  • "This girl is guilty of double insolence, breaking the given laws and boasting of it" (Sophocles ii.81-82).
  • You will be imprisoned at once!
  • Oedipus
  • *Whispering* I'm going to bury you, Polynieces.
