There once were two Kings. One was living on a hill in a village, he was called Athens. The other king was called Minos and he had a big castle built for him.
Every year King Minos ordered 7 men and 7 women to come to he's castle and be the pray for his animal. This was a very special animal, it was half bull and half man.
One day Theseus the son of the second King asked:" Why do we need to send seven men and seven women to king Minos?" Then Theseus's dad replied:" I rather not tell you, but I knew you were going to ask me this question one day. Theseus's father replied:" We are sending these people there because King Minos said that if we don't he will want war and we will definitely not win that war."
So one day when Theseus was old enough he decided to go to king minos's palace himself. He said to he's father:" I will not fail to kill the monster. I will come back to you and we won't have to send our people to king minos." He's father answered:" My son I can not let you go, but if you must go then I will let you. If you survive please change the black flags to white so I will know if you're alive.
Theseus and thirteen other people are standing in front of a huge labyrinth. "Who will be the first one to meet my minotaur." Theseus exclaimed:" I will be the first one to enter the labyrinth." He went infant of the labyrinth and looked at it. From the side someone whispered to him:" Even if you kill the minotaur you won't be able to find you're way out because of the darkness but I am only doing this under one condition, you will take me back and marry me." "I promise!" The Eurydice helped him by giving Theseus a piece of string and she was holding the other end. He killed the minotaur and wen't home.
Eurydice the daughter of king minos was the one who helped Theseus get back out of the labyrinth. Theseus was very happy she helped him but afterwards he broke his promise. Theseus said:" Let's have a little rest on that little island." Eurydice believed him and they had a rest on the island. But Theseus lied instead of having a rest he left Eurydice alone on the island.
When Theseus left Eurydice on the island he forgot to put up the white flags. This was a very big mistake of Theseus because when Theseus's father saw the black sails he was so depressed and jumped of the edge of a cliff.
