I just ate a good, healthy meal!
Time to go play softball!
Now that I have all the nutrients in me, I can play!
After you eat, your digestive system breaks down the food. Your stomach breaks it down and the large intestine extracts the nutrients.
The nutrients in the food you get from the digestive system go into the blood and get transferred by the Circulatory System. It goes to the heart and gets pumped through the arteries
Those nutrients from the digestive system you get along with oxygen are used in the blood, turned into energy and is used for things like playing softball.
