As I grew up. I realized not everyone stays. Almost no one stays unless you want them to and sometimes they just leave for fun. I hated that about the world. In my world it was all guns knives and gangs. That’s just the way we lived. I stared at the house across the street. A man with gray hair and grey eyes pulled stuff out of the trunk of their moving truck.

“Where to?” He asked. His mocha skin glistened in the moonlight. “Just drive till the meter gets to 20.” He nodded and started to drive. He blared out rap music and drove fast. Butch stayed silent in the back of the car next to me.
“It is if you come from Way street.” I whispered to myself. I pulled my leather jacket tighter around me. The lather jacket was my brothers it was also a good 6 sizes to big. I looked up at him his face was smiling at me. I squinted my eyes at him and gave him a small smile.
Almost like he knew i wouldn’t want to do it. “We’re gonna leave soon. Just be ready.”
So no i never made it out of that hood. I guess I died a hood rat. I lost my brother just as fast as I found him. He was gone and there was nothing I could do.
