Person vs Person
Person vs Supernatural
Person vs Nature
On pg.102 " We are all together in this cabin ; Said Mama ' Mama we cant possibly all fit!!!!!". This is person vs person because there are two people having an argument which is Mama and Esperanza. Esperanza is talking about how the cabin is too small and how can all the people that are staying with them possibly fit.
Person vs Herself
On pg.8 it states " She bent over to pick a red bloom, fully opened, and pricked her finger on a vicious thorn." This is person vs supernatural because it doesn't have to be a ghost or anything like that it could be a superstition. Which in here Esperanza got prickled with a thorn which to them is weird and means something bad will happen.
Person vs Technology
on pg. 40 it states " 'Esperanza! Wake up! ' screamed mama. ' The house is on fire." This is person vs nature because there is a fire and anything like a storm would be person vs nature. So right now Esperanza's house is on fire.
Person vs Society
on pg. 208 it states "Esperanza stood frozen for a moment, Remebering Marta's Meaness ... if she helped her and someone found out." This shows person vs herself because she is trying to decide whether she will help Marta or tell the immgration attorites. She is also thinking about the what Marta did to her.
On pg. 116-117 it states " Esperanza's elbows did not know what to do. Neither did her arms... She stared at the broom." This is person vs tech because Esperanza does not know how to use a broom it is a new thing for her just like how grandparents won't understand technology.
On pg.17 it states "' I'm going to marry Miguel!' Mama had laughed at her and said ' You will feel differently, as you get older.' 'No i won't,." This is person vs society because everyone knows that a rich girl shouldn't be with a servant which is what Esperanza understands later.
