  • "Let's go, Doodle." (Hurst 326) This reveals that the narrator is considerate in doodle coming home.

  • "When doodle was five years old, I was embarrassed of having a little brother who couldn't walk, so I set out to teach him." (Hurst pg. 2) This reveals that the narrator is ashamed of having a younger brother who doesn't know how to walk.
