Overgrazing happened because settlers killed wolves.
Since the settlers hunter the wolves usual pray.
They stated preying on domestic animals such as cats and dogs
Of course, the settlers didn't like that. So the setlers poisened and kill wolves
Then the wolf population decreased incredibly and overgrazing started
Then the humans started restoring wolves into yellowstone with pens
And when they added wolves back into to the ecosystem everything was good again
