  • Fort Sumter April 12, 1862
  • YES! MUHAHAHA WE WON!!!

  • Battle of Hampton Roads March 8-9 1862
  • Fort Royal May 23, 1862
  • This was the first battle of the Civil War. The war was between 27 Northern States and 11 Southern States. The Civil War would last four years. The Confederated won the battle.
  • Battle of Gettysburg
  • Battle between two ironclad ships. The U.S.S Monitor and C.S.S Virginia (later renamed the U.S.S Merrimac) Since neither ship could do much damage on eachother, so the battle was inconclusive.
  • Battle of Chattanooga November 23-25, 1863 
  • WE WON!!!

  • The Confederates drove the union forces to cedarville. The the Union forces retreats Strasburg Winchester.
  • Battle of Stones River December 31- January 2, 1863.
  • General Lee in high spirits began second invasion of the North. Despite heavy losses the North held their defense and ended Lee’s attempt to invade the North. This battle resulted in the Gettysburg Address and redefined the purpose of the war.
  • After securing the Tennessee river that provided supplies the Union attacked Chattanooga, an important transportation place. The Union defeated the Confederacy and hit the confederated with a hard blow.
  • The Union prevented the Confederates from taking Tennessee. This battle was the most violent battle, there were 23,000 deaths.
