Storyboard Text

  • There is too much friction.  It wastes power.  We should use alternating current to fully harness a generator's natural current.
  • Meanwhile at Menlo Park, Thomas Edison pitches his idea for the future of powering the world using direct current.  Direct current is channeling a current in one direction.  This is a problem though because a generator reverses it's flow periodically.
  • We are going to use direct current to power the world.  We will setup power stations every half mile in major cities.
  • Nikola Tesla tries to prefect his AC motor.  Tesla believes that AC is the best choice because it can bring power to everyone, anywhere unlike DC which has a limited range.  Nikola Tesla later prefects his AC motor.
  • I think AC is much better.
  • AC is too dangerous and uncontrollable!
  • Tesla meets up with Edison and joins his company.  Tesla decides to present his idea for AC, but Edison dislikes the idea because he thinks that the high voltage is too dangerous.
  • Tesla later leaves Edison's company and ends up starting his own company.
  • I'm starting my own company!
