John Calvin was born on July 10, 1509, in Noyon, France
1528 — Sent by his Father to the University of Orleans to study Law.
1531- John Calvin's dad dies, allowing him to return to Paris to study theology.
1536- he published the landmark text, Institutes of the Christian Religion, an early attempt to standardizes the theories of Protestantism.
1538- when Calvin refused to administer Communion to certain leading people who were living in open sin. The tensions grew so great that Calvin and Farel were forced to leave Geneva.
1540- Married the widow, Idelette de Bure.
