  • Mom, what is falling from the sky? How much is there? Where does it go?
  • It is called rain, it is water. There is an average of 3.18 inches of it per year.
  • This mud stream is here because there was not enough precipitation so the dirt was so dry that when it started raining the mud got loose and caused lot of mud slides, that makes the creek flood because the dirt can not hold it.
  • Mr. Bird, what do you know about this place?
  • It snows a lot during the winter, yo might be able to see some, but we are in a drought so there is not a lot of snow.
  • Up there is Mount Lyell, it is currently the largest mountain and it is a glacier shaded by taller mountains.
  • Wow pretty water fall!!! Did you know that the name of that one is Yosemite falls, the tallest waterfall in Yosemite! All of this water came from snow melt and melting glaciers. 90% of it comes from snow melt and glaciers
  • Cool mom!!!
  • What is this called?
  • Since it is so cold out some of the animals get super fat during the fall and summer to sleep all winter.
  • This is snow, frozen rain. All of this is called hydrology, the study of water with its landscape.
