Storyboard Text

  • Greetings comrades, I gladly present communist allies, Mao Zedong and China. A leader who fights for his people.
  • Well thank you, my friend Stalin. You're so welcoming and inspiring. The capitalists make you a tyrant. Your ways are promising and righteous.
  • February 14, 1950
  • Greetings Mao, from now on I Khrushchev will be the Soviet leader, Stalin, an authoritarian and friend of yours has died. You Chinese won't get it easy from me.
  • February 21 through 28, 1950
  • Well I'll also let you know that my people come first to me. What can you tell me about the treatment Chinese nationals receive in the Soviet Union?
  • Ah! But did you Soviets forgot that you didn't support us in our border dispute with India, and you backed down with the nuclear weapon development?
  • First of all, since when is India a superpower? Second, do you not see the capitalists and their pressure?
  • It can't be worse tha dealing with the Soviet Union.
  • Soviet Union is following self-interests, huh?   Well, what do you say if the US table tennis delegation goes to your country to play some games?
  • So the Soviet Union decided to put China on the back-burner? Well it's not like I have to follow it.
  • It's nice for you to have accepted my invitation. It's good for both of our countries to be in good terms. It opens up possibilities...
  • Thank YOU, for the invitation. Not only is this the first visit of a US president to the People's Republic of China (but it also weakens the Soviet Union).
  • Chinese relation spectrum: Closer to a side, closer politically
