This storyboard does not have a description.
Erich Honecker became the head of the Communist party in Germany in 1971. Him and the Stasi ruled Germany for the next 18 years. By 1989, many East Germans fled the country due to Honecker's harsh regime.
The Communist government surrendered on November 9, 1989 and opened their entire border to the West. Hundreds of thousands of Germans swarmed to the other sides. People began physically tearing down the wall.
During the first German elections, Christians Democrats won 50 percent of the votes. Christian Democrats supported political union with West Germany, and the reunification happened on October 3, 1990
