  • Laurie started kindergarten and a boy named Charles acts bad. The is the exposition because it is the beginning of the story.
  • Falling Action
  • Charles gets spanked by being naughty by kicking and hitting kids. This is the rising action because it is events that build up the conflict.
  • Resolution
  • Laurie's parents didn't go to the meeting because a baby got a cold. This is the climax because it is the turning point of the story.
  • Theme
  • At the P.T.A meeting Laurie and his parents went to the meeting. This is the falling action because these are the events that wrap up the conflict.
  • Charles wasn't a student in school. All this time Charles was actually Laurie. This is the resolution/conclusion because it is the outcome or how the conflict is solved.
  • The theme of the story is that you shouldnt lie because you could get caught. This is the theme because laurie lied about charles being bad and he was actually charles
