The Agricultural Revolution By: Ryan Munley
In Europe the population was growing and therefore so was the need for crops
There were many problems with the current method of farming. Due to the strip method that was used crops were trampled ny animals and people trying to get to their own strips.
As well as those problems fields did not drain, there were no fences or hedges and fields had to be left fallow. These problems caused there to be little extra food after harvesting.
New innovations came along such as the iron plow, the seed drill, and crop rotation. These inventions and ideas cause the agricultural revolution.
Because of these changes fewer men were needed to farm. Fields were distributed to those who could afford it but those who couldn't were forced to move to the towns to find work.
