  • Act 1 Scene 2
  • Soothsayer: "Beware the ides of March" (1.2.23). 
  • Caesar: "He is a dreamer.Let us leave him.Pass."(1.2.24)
  • Act 1 Scene 2 
  • Cassius: "A man of such a feeble temper [Caesar] should, so get the start of the majestic wor And bear the palm alone"(1.2.129-131).
  • Brutus: "I will consider; what you have to say...with patience and time"(1.2.168-169).
  • Act 1 Scene 2
  • Caesar: " I cannot accept such a thing."
  • Marc Antony: "Take the throne Caesar."
  • Casca: "I saw Marc Antony offer him a crown...Caesar refused the crown [for the third time]".(1.2.236-247)
  • Caesar's arrival is interrupted by a soothsayer who warns him about something bad occurring on March 15th. This will be the day Caesar dies.
  • Act 1 Scene 3
  • Cassius: "I  will wear this dagger then [allow Caesar to become king"(1.389-90).
  • Casca: "If you join me, I'll go as far as I need to, to stop Caesar"(1.3.119-120).
  • The first attempt where Cassius tries to get Brutus to see the bad side of Caesar.
  • Act 2 Scene 1
  • Calphurnia "Do not go forth today. Call it my fear"(2.2.50).
  • Casca tells the events of when Caesar rejects the crown after being offered it by Marc Antony.
  • Act 2 Scene 2
  • Caesar "How foolish do your fears seem now, Calpurnia!..I will go"(2.2.105-107).
  • The conspirators meet and discuss their plans about stopping Caesar and convincing Brutus to join.
  • Cassius: "Cinna, take these papers and place them on Brutus window so he can see them"(1.3.142-146).
  • Cinna: "If only we could get Brutus to join us"(1.3.140-141).
  • Brutus decides to join and they discuss how to assassinate Caesar.
  • Cassius "Nay,we will all...fetch him"(2.1.213).
  • Cinna "By the [eighth hour] is the least hour we'll do it"(2.1.215).
  • Brutus: "We all stand against the spirit of Caesar and the only way to stop him is by killing him"(2.1.1168-169).
  • Calphurnia has a dream about something bad happening to Caesar. Decius convinces Caesar to go accept the crown.
  • Decius "Calphurnia's dream signifies that you will give Rome reviving blood which many will want"(2.2.87-88).
