  • Perseus receives gifts from the gods, the god Hermes and the goddess Athena. From Hermes, he acquires a sword and knowledge on where to go to get the rest of the objects he needs to kill Medusa. From Athena he receives her bronze breast plate, armor shine like that of a mirror, so that Perseus may look at Medusa through the reflection.

  • Perseus heads for home and on the way stops at a place that has been plagued by a sea serpent. While they he slays the serpent and saves Princess Andromeda, who was meant to be sacrificed to the monster. Perseus falls in love with her and marries her.
