Lily: Dr. X please help me there's something inside of me! Dr. X: Inside of you? What do you mean by that? Lily: I don't know! I'm seeing blackness around, it looks like a tunnel!
Dr. X: I think I might know what it is since you told me what you're seeing Lily: Well what do you think it is! because I want this to go away! Dr. X: Well it sounds like it's Retinitis Pigmentosa Lily: Ret... what is that? Please tell me you can fix my eye Dr. X: I'm afraid that there's nothing that I can do, there is no cure for this
Dr. X: Well you can wear sunglasses it will help your eyes by protecting it so it won't get worse Lily: Well can you please explain how I got Retinitis Pigmentosa or why I have it?
Dr. X: Well it's a rare genetic disorder and it involves loss of cells in the Retina meaning you don't have enough cells or you don't have any at all. So it's a sensitive tissue that is in the back of your eye. Dr. X: Do you have trouble seeing at night? I am just trying to make sure that I am not wrong Lily: Yes I actually have trouble seeing at night
Dr. X: Okay well that's the most common symptom it's called Peripheral. It's when you have difficulty seeing at night and loss of the side you can't see on your side without turning your head it's like a big blind spot. Well I suggest that you wear sunglasses so it does't get worse it's like protecting your eye
Lily: Thank you for helping me by figuring out what's wrong with me I apperciate it! Dr. X: No problem
