  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glaims
  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!
  • All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!
  • The Thane of Cawdor lives.  Why do you dress me in borrowed robes?
  • Who has the thane lives yet, but under heavy judgment bears that life which he deserves to lose.
  • If we should fail?
  • We fail? But screw your courage to the sticking-place  and we'll not fail.
  • The three witches talk to Macbeth and Banquo and tell them that Macbeth will become king and Banquo's sons will become kings.
  • Look to the lady.
  • Macbeth becomes the Thane of Cawdor which shows him that the witches were right about what they predicted.
  • Let your highness command upon me
  • Tonight we hold a solemn supper, sir, and I’ll request your presence
  • Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth to kill the king so that he will be guaranteed to be king.  Macbeth does not want to at first, but then changes his mind.
  • My lord, his throat is cut; that I did for him. 
  • Most royal sir, Fleance is ‘scaped
  • After Macbeth kills the king, he kills the guards.  This confuses Lady Macbeth and she faints to create a distraction.
  • Help me hence, ho!
  • With the king dead, Macbeth is crowned king, but Banquo and Fleance are still out there.
  • Macbeth send three murderers out to kill Banquo and Fleance.  Banquo is killed but Fleance escapes.
