Welcome to our volcano tour! Today we will be talking about active, dormant, and extinct volcanoes
Right here is a diagram of a dormant volcano. But it can erupt at any moment. Magma is building up inside the magma chamber and will rise up through the pipe.
This right here is a pyroclastic flow. The lava comes out through the vent of a volcano. When it erupts there's lava flow.
What about the Ring of Fire?
Come I'll show you.
On the edge of continents on the Pacific ocean is an island arc called the Ring of Fire. In the middle of it is a hot spot, Hawaii.
