  • Tariff of Abominations
  • Jackson implemented the Tariff of 1832. He also thought that South Carolina could not secede the union.
  • South Carolina 
  • Calhoun was the vice president when Adams created the Tariffs of 1828. When Jackson got into office Calhoun thought that South Carolina should be allowed to secede the union. 
  • The Force Bill
  • I agree!
  • The tariff was a high protective tariff on manufactured goods from Europe. Which made imported goods have a higher tax on them to make people buy more U.S. made products.
  • Henry Clay
  • I have a solution!
  • South Carolina said they had the right to secede the union. They though the tariffs were unconstitutional.
  • We don't approve! We have rights.
  • The Force Bill was made by congress and supported by Andrew Jackson. The bill let the military to enforce the Tariff of Abominations.
  • Henry Clay came up with the Compromise of 1833 to help out with the crisis.
