Cynthia Ann Parker's family moved to Texas in the 1830's and they established fort parker, on May 19 1836 Comanche and Kiowa tribes attacked and captured many settlers including 9 year old cynthia ann parker and her brother, John.
In 1840 col. Williams saw the comanche tribe with cynthia and proposed a trade to the native americans but they refused.
In 1840 cynthia also married the war cheif, Peta Nacona. Later on she had a kid named Quanah Parker. In 1855 a group of white hunters approuched Cynthia and she said she loved her husband and children very much and would not leave them.
The tribe cynthia ann was with was raided by Texas rangers and it was thought that Peta Nakoni was killed in this raid, but that was untrue. He died years later from an infected battle wound.
Cynthia and her daughter were returned to her uncle, but she tried to escape many times because she missed her comanche way of life. She repeatly asked her family to return back to the comanche tribe, but they refused.
As she longed for her comanche way of life she began to lose health and so did her daughter, her daughter died so Cynthia starved herself and died in 1870. In 1911 Quanah Parker died and he requested to be burried next to his mom.
