  • Exposition:
  • Live you? Or are you aught that man may question? 
  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!
  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!
  • All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter.
  • Conflict:
  • I go, and it is done. The bell invites me. Hear it not, Duncan, for it is a knell That summons thee to heaven or hell. 
  • Rising Action:
  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • (Page 10) Macbeth and Banquo run into The Weird Sisters and they reveal that Macbeth will be Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and King of Scotland. 
  • Climax:
  • (Page 39) The major conflict within the play is Man vs. Man (Macbeth). Macbeth faces an internal conflict between his consciousness and his ambition.
  • Falling Action: 
  •  My thanes and kinsmen, Henceforth be earls, the first that ever Scotland In such honor named.We'll call our friends home from abroad that fled the tryanny of this dead butcher and his fiend-like queen, Who, by self and violent hands Took off her life.

  • (Page 131) Macbeth gets beheaded by Macduff.
