  • Before the surrender of the last Islamic Kingdom in Granada, the Muslim and Spanish armies fought for about 700 years. After all that happened, Muslims and Jews were forced to covert to Christianity and anyone who wasn't Roman Catholic would be expelled from the country. When Muslims got expelled, the Spanish thoght they were more powerful.
  • The Spanish Inquisition was a civil, and religious court made to judge to see if the Jews and Muslims who converted to Roman Catholicism were true Roman Catholics. It was reinstated in 1492, and didn't officially end until 1834.
  • The Spanish explorers founded for new explorers to help find some new trade routes in Asia, and some new land. They had goods and resources from any place in the empire. Any other religions were treated as inferiors.
