Storyboard Text

  • Percy Jackson is a 12 year old boy who is always getting into trouble for unknown reasons. During a school trip, Percy is attacked by his pre-algebra teacher, who turned out to be a mythical creature, more specifically a Furie. Luckily, Percy manages to get out alive thanks with the help of his teacher, Mr. Brunner.
  • Later, Percy’s mom, Sally takes him to the beach where they are attacked by a Minotaur, a creature that is half man half bull. Sally disappears in gold dust and Percy is taken to Camp Half Blood by his saytaur friend, Grover.
  • There, he learns that he is a demigod, half mortal half god. He befriends Luke, son of Hermes and Annabeth, daughter of Athena. Throughout the events at camp, he is finally claimed by his father, Poseidon, God of the sea. After that, the camp experiences really bad conditions due to Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt, in which people claim that Percy stole it. To show his innocence, prevent a war and save his mother, Percy sets off for a quest.
  • He is accompanied by Annabeth and Grover and together, they head west. They face a lot of unfortunate events, in which they battle Furies, Medusa and other creatures from the underworld. Along the way, Ares, God of war “helps” them by giving them a backpack full of supplies.
  • As they reach the underworld, Hades blames Percy of stealing his helm AND the lightning bolt, threatening to kill his mother. Percy and his friends escape just in time and find out that Ares was the thief the whole time, but he isn’t the only one behind it. They battle it out and Percy wins.
  • Percy travels up to mount Olympus and returns the lighting bolt safely to Zeus. Back at Camp Half-Blood, it is nearly time to leave and in the end, Percy chooses to return home for the school year and to come back to camp next summer.
