Storyboard Text

  • The Jungle represents Pi and Richard's future.  It is the hope of a new life, but also the regret when Richard "leaves" Pi without a goodbye, leaving him with all the guilt from the deeds he has done using his tiger persona.
  • The Tooth is a symbol of Humanity and a sign from God. It represents temptation but also symbolizes the value and worth of a free life vs. a safe but empty one.
  • The Ocean is power, a being, and a message from God to test Pi. He expierences the divinity that the ocean represents, and the circle of life and death that occurs.
  • The Whistle is Pi's ultimate power. Without it, his potential for survival will dwindle. It gives out layers of control, determination, belief, and hope.
