Storyboard Text

  • On June 16, 1775 on top of Breed's Hill: Colonel William Prescott prepares to lead the 1,000 militiamen under his command.
  • I thought we were supposed to be on Bunker Hill.
  • We need to build fortifications and hold this hill in order to stop the British from surrounding Boston.
  • On June 17 General William Howe lands with 2,200 British troops and advances towards Breed's Hill.
  • Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes (to conserve ammo)!
  • I'll avenge you Thomas!
  • Fall back and regroup!
  • Oh no! We're out of ammunition!
  • Charge!
  • Retreat! Everyone retreat!
  • Even though we lost, I feel more confident in our ability to win this war.
