  • Battle of Fort Sumter | April 12, 1861
  • Ball's Bluff | October 20, 1861
  • Battle of Hampton Roads at Norfolk | May 11, 1862
  • Confederate soldiers fired first. The place where the war started. No casualties because of series of attacks with bombs.
  • Battle of Memphis | June 6, 1862
  • Capt. Chase Philbrick went to scout and thought a line of trees as tents of the enemy. Col. Charles Deven went to attack the next day but figured it was not a camp. Col. Baker went to enforce Deven , but was killed in the afternoon.
  • Battle of Antietam | September 17-18, 1862
  • Huge naval battle between U.S.S Monitor and U.S.S Merrimac. U.S.S Merrimack was renamed C.S.S Virginia. General McClellan captured the port. Neither ship won.
  • Battle of Appomattox | April 9, 1865
  • After Corinth was occupied by the Union, Confederate General Beauregard ordered his troops to retreat. Some confederate troops stayed behind and got captured. Memphis was captured by the Union forces.
  • George McClellan attacked General Lee with a series of attacks. With 3 attacks both sides were too injured to move. Lee decided to retreat, and the retreat gave Abe the victory of the battle.
  •  A Confederate commander and lieutenant John and Fitzhugh made a battle at the Courthouse as a distraction and was advancing against Union General Sheridan. Charles Griffin stopped the Confederacy from advancing. General Lee was surrounded on three sides and surrendered right after quick engagement.
